To the Editor,

Thanks, Joe for your selfless decision to step down from the presidency in face of mounting concerns for your age over the next 4 years. This, in no way diminishes the greatness of your presidency which, although criticized by your opponents, will shine brightly by historians as a nation and democracy saving term in office.

Your choice to succeed you is also a game changer in the American political landscape. The intelligence, experience and energy of Kamala Harris will keep the policies and programs of your presidential team moving forward toward a better world as far as our global influence reaches. 

So, what were the most significant accomplishments? Just to name a few. Accelerating the war on covid following a disastrous and callous mishandling of the disease, strengthening the power of NATO to respond to our biggest defense challenge, Putin’s Russia, coming to the aid of Ukraine in defense of their country and the spread of Putinism across Europe, accelerating the development and worldwide distribution of Covid vaccines, getting the economy back on track and thriving following a dismal preceding term, implementing the “Build Back Better” infrastructure program which has energized the economy, put millions to work, and will remain a driving economic force for decades. Just a few good works that he , Kamala and his talented cabinet and advisors have achieved.

With Kamala taking over the reins, these accomplishments will continue and grow toward keeping America the stabilizing force for Democracy across the globe. We may even return to immigration policies that would ensure a stable work force across all economic elements.

With the GOP platform and Vice Presidential Pick, this election is now a choice between good and evil, empathy and meanness, rich and poor, civil rights for all and heightened rights for the privileged, white male supremacy against inclusion for all races and genders, isolationalism verses cooperation with our friends around the world.

The Democrat National Convention is coming soon to finalize their platform so we can put the two side by side for easy comparison. In any case, VOTE, as now being stated by the GOP powers this may be the last election, the end of democracy, the beginning of dictatorship. Don’t think you’ll like what you voted for.

Joe Biden will go down in history in the top 20 if not higher. Thanks again Joe.
