To the Editor,

To all the people of the Henning School District 545 who voted on the school referendum on November 8, 2022, I want to say thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to have your voices be heard.

Thank you to all the people who put in countless hours promoting the referendum. Even though it did not pass, your efforts did not fail.

Thank you to everyone who wrote “Letters to the Editor” in favor of or against the referendum. Your comments were a welcomed format for what we need to do in the future so the next referendum will pass. We, as a school district, we’ll come back to you, the voters of this district, with another plan that hopefully more of us are willing to support.

Thank you to the administration, teaching staff, paraprofessionals, office staff, custodians, kitchen staff, bus drivers and volunteers of the District 545 for the number of hours you put in each day of the school year to help every student of our school to become amazing young men and women of our future.

Thank you to the parents of our school district for giving us the opportunity to teach your children. It is truly an honor.

Thank you to the people of this community and this school district for supporting our school and helping us to provide the education needed for all our students to thrive.

As I said earlier, we will come back with another referendum in the near future. Henning School needs your continued support of the education of the students that pass through our doors. We can’t do it without you.

Please help us to move into the future with the funding and facilities that will be needed to provide an even better education to every student that attends Henning Public School now and for many years to come. Again I say: Thank you!

Rod Thalmann,

Henning School Board
