As the school year draws to a close, our high school seniors are on the cusp of an incredible milestone—graduation. This moment marks the end of years filled with hard work, personal growth and countless memories. It’s an exciting time brimming with anticipation, but also a moment that can bring its fair share of challenges and uncertainty as they prepare to take the next big step in life.
With guidance from Mr. Williams and Mrs. Damm, the seniors are making sure they’ve crossed all the final “t’s” and dotted all the “i’s.” Whether it’s wrapping up any lingering assignments, ensuring they’ve earned their required credits, or reviewing their final grades, they’re getting everything in order. And, of course, no graduation is complete without those all-important caps and gowns, which the seniors are eagerly ordering in preparation for the big day!
In the library, our seniors have been hard at work, focusing on scholarship applications, researching colleges, and exploring potential career paths. It’s a whirlwind of decisions, deadlines, and dreams—but they’re managing it all with determination and enthusiasm.
As graduation approaches, the seniors are faced with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. It’s a time to reflect on all they’ve accomplished and to look ahead to what lies beyond. With the support of their teachers, families, and friends, they can step confidently into their future, knowing they’ve laid a strong foundation for success. Graduation isn’t just a ceremony—it’s a celebration of their hard work, their achievements, and the bright potential that awaits them.
Personally, I’ve grown incredibly attached to the seniors who spend so much of their day in the library. I’ve had the joy of offering a little “mom advice,” teaching them a bit about cooking (this year, pies were the star!), and guiding them through the process of filling out scholarship applications and writing heartfelt thank-you letters. While I know many are eager to see what lies beyond the borders of the Henning School District, I secretly hope that one day, they’ll return to this place they’ve called home, bringing their families along to do the same.
To each and every one of our seniors: my very best wishes. I’ll miss you all more than you know.
