Oktoberfest set for Saturday at Landmark

Join us for our Annual Pie and Pumpkin Oktoberfest this Saturday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Enjoy fresh baked pie, ice cream, pumpkin painting, and live music by Alec Larson and Darren Quam. This event is made possible in part by a Thrivent Action Team project.
The Landmark Center will present an Evening with Teddy Roosevelt on Monday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Henning. A free-will donation admission will be taken for this one-hour event sharing experiences and stories from one of our nations true legends. Please call Landmark for details.
Artist David Jacobson will host a Marquetry Wood Inlay Workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 7-9 p.m. Carving knife, wood materials, and instruction all provided with a $35 registration fee. Please call 548-5760 to RSVP. This workshop is sponsored by the Sons of Norway Leif Erikson Lodge 1-32.
Our reading group, Beverage and a Book, will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 2-4 p.m. to discuss “The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell.” Copies of this book are available at the Landmark Center for those wishing to join the discussion.
The Viking Library Bookmobile visits Henning every other Tuesday with next visits scheduled for October 11 and October 25 from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in front of the Landmark Station Building. Call Viking Library to order books and videos and have them delivered to town.
The Henning Haunted House will be in full swing Friday and Saturday nights, October 21-22 and October 28-29. Food will be available in the Henning Community Center across the street.
