Misinformation

To the Editor,

To the constituents of District 4, I just wanted to drop a note for you all to beware of any misinformation that tends to circulate during election seasons. For example, a couple weeks ago there was a letter to the editor published regarding the “help” of republican party legislators “helping” or “interfering” with the county commissioner candidates primary election.

Unless these people were helping my opponent and I did not know, to my knowledge this was misinformation. All the parades that I attended, the legislators all had their own floats to attend to. As stated in that letter, this position is non-partisan. To my knowledge, both myself, and my opponent, have stated this as well.  

As you choose a new commissioner, think about what you expect from them. Everyone I have talked to said they want to see change in our County……and someone who will take a stand and say no when it needs to be said. 

Think about what that looks like for our county and our district. 

Think about choosing the right person to see the change that you want and do your due diligence to watch out for misinformation. Demand proof, ask the candidates tough questions and make informed decisions.  This isn’t a position to take lightly. 

I want to thank Robert Lahman for his past 4 years of service to this district and I hope he truly enjoys his time in retirement!
