A few spaces still remain for the two day wood carving workshop by Clayton Johnson, coming Friday and Saturday Sept. 19-20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Participants will receive step by step instruction, a 3x3x12” Basswood block, and all tools needed to carve a unique 3-dimensional face of your choosing. No prior carving experience is necessary. A $100 registration fee includes all instruction and tools you may keep for future carving projects. Space is limited, so please call 548-5760 soon to RSVP.

Mari Fredericks will host a Stamp card making workshop on Sept. 24, and once a month for the next few months. Please call for details.

Our Annual Pie and Pumpkin Oktoberfest celebration is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please join us for free pie and ice cream, pumpkin painting and live music. Help us celebrate the fall season in Henning with friends and neighbors.

The Landmark Center is available for your public or private gatherings, receptions, reunions, workshops, and retreats. We have space for 10 overnight guests in our second floor retreat center.

We provide Free Wi-Fi for our community and have a collection of local Henning artifacts in our History Museum. If you have any stories from past or present related to life in our community, please share them with us as we gather information for a Henning History Book.

If you have any photos of the area from past or present, the Landmark Center would like to scan them to help build our archive and perhaps included them in the upcoming book. Contact Dan at the Landmark Center at 548-5750 to reserve space for your next event, or to direct your stories and photographs.
