Artist Mimi Seykora is hosting a five day Pottery Workshop at the Landmark Station building, Tuesdays and Thursdays in September. Dates are scheduled for Sept. 8, 10, 15, 17 and 22, from 1-4 p.m. each day. Each student will have access to 25 lbs. of Stoneware Clay, Pottery Wheels, Slab Roller, Kiln Firing, and guidance from Mimi Seykora, allowing you to create multiple ceramic arts pieces within the given five days, with time for drying, detail work, bisque firing, and glazing. Space is limited, registration fee will include all materials, instruction, and equipment. Please call 548-5760 to RSVP while space remains.

A two day Printmaking workshop by Michael Weatherly has been postponed until October. This workshop will become available on two consecutive Saturdays in October, allowing time to hand carve artistic design into soft Linoleum sheet, then create multiple ink transfer prints from your original linoleum cut artwork. Also in October is our annual Pie and Pumpkin Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., including free pumpkin painting, fresh pie and ice cream, and live music. Help us celebrate Fall in Henning. More details to come.

A huge thank you to all who attended our recent Corn, Brat, and Burger Feed last week, including all the volunteers that helped cook, serve, and entertain our community guests. Thanks also to all the local volunteers that helped make our community mural project come to life under the design and guidance of artist Chalsey Falk. Together we created a colorful work of art that will remain on display throughout the year adding color to our white winter months.
