Landmark to host Farmers/Vendor Market

The Henning Landmark annual meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, June 12, beginning 5 p.m. at Landmark Center. This meeting is open to the public, all are welcomed to attend.
We will celebrate our 15-year anniversary, discuss highlights of past and present activities and events, share our current schedule of activities, and ask for your feedback on what you would like to see us offering in the future. We thank you for your support and hope you see the value the Landmark Center brings to our Henning community. Refreshments will be served following the meeting, please join us.
On Saturday, June 15, the Landmark Center will host our first Farmers/Vendor Market from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in front of the Landmark Station building. We are still looking for additional vendors and hope to offer this event once a month if there is interest. Please call 548-5760 for information or to register as a vendor..
The Landmark Center will continue our summer reading series on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in our patio area.
The first event will be June 26 at 7 p.m. with the CLIMB Theater presentation of a short play “City Mouse/ Country Mouse.” This free event is sponsored by Viking Library System and a Legacy Grant from the MN Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
Reading Series will feature STEM Arts related books, with short readings and related activities.
The reading series is scheduled for 7-8 p.m. on July 10, 17, 24 and 31. Please let us know if you would like to be a guest reader. Also coming in July will be a Historic Henning Walking Tour hosted by Chris Schuelke of the OTC Historical Society on Thursday July 11 at 7 p.m. The following weekend the Landmark Center will be one of 18 locations on the Art of the Lakes Studio Tour from July 19-21. This year we will host six artists at the Landmark Center for this three-day open house. Stop at the Landmark Center to pick up a schedule of Henning events, or a copy of the Studio Tour brochure.
The Landmark Cetner will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 1-4 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or anytime by appointment by calling 548-5760.
