The Landmark Center will host our annual corn, brat and burger feed next Thursday, Aug. 21 from 5-7 p.m. Please join us for a free-will meal including fresh Buehler’s sweet corn, grilled brats and burgers by Chef Doug, a selection of silent auction items, live music by Darren Quam and root beer floats. Help us celebrate summer in Henning with friends, family and neighbors.

Our book club, beverage and a book, meets from 2-4 p.m. every four weeks on a Tuesday, following the delivery schedule of the Viking Library Bookmobile. Next meeting is scheduled for August 26.

The Bookmobile visits Henning on Tuesdays every two weeks from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in front of the Landmark Station Building. Next scheduled Bookmobile visits are Aug. 12, 26, Sept. 9 and 23.

Coming in September, Landmark Center will host Jerry Hobbs for a free blacksmithing demonstration on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 12-4 p.m., showing step by step creation of a knife and sheath.

Artist Clayton Johnson will present a 2-day Wood Carving workshop from Sept. 19-20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration fee of $100 will include step by step instruction and carving tools needed to complete a three dimensional face carving. Space is limited, please call 548-5760 to RSVP.

Landmark Center is available for public or private gatherings, meetings, receptions, reunions, workshops, and offers overnight lodging space for up to 10 people in our 2nd floor retreat center.
