The Henning All-School Reunion is scheduled for Saturday, June 21. The Henning Landmark Center will be open for coffee and cookies from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., providing space to relax, visit with others, and explore the facility. The Class of 1952 will be using our gallery space for their class reunion.
In an effort to produce a Henning History Book, we will be collection stories and information related to life in Henning. Please take a moment to complete a questionnaire at Landmark or at the Fairgrounds Event Center.
If you have any Henning related photos you would allow us to scan, please contact Dan Broten at the Landmark Center. You may keep your originals. We will not be able to include all submitted stories, but will try to create a representation of life in rural Henning.
Our local car club will be hosting Rock, Roll and Stroll car show on Friday night from 5-8 p.m. along Douglas Avenue. Any vendors wishing to set-up at the Landmark Station area may contact Dan to reserve a space.
On Wednesday June 25, Chicago musicians Ann Torralba and Suzi Shelton will perform “Birds of a Feather” during a Free, family friendly event in the Landmark Patio area beginning at 7 p.m. This event is made possible by a MN Legacy Grant received by Viking Library System.
Our book club, Beverage and a Book, will meet from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1. All are welcomed to join the discussion. The VLS Bookmobile visits Henning every other Tuesday from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in front of the Landmark Station building. Order books and videos online and have them delivered to Henning.
The Landmark Center retreat center has five bedrooms on our second floor and may be used for you or your visiting guests. We have bed space for up to 10 overnight guests.
Our facility is also available for public and private gatherings, receptions, reunions, workshops, and retreats. Please call 548-5760 to RSVP.
