Landmark Center is hosting two art workshops in the next few weeks.

Artist Faythe Mills will host a Pencil Portrait Drawing Workshop on Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A $40 registration fee includes all instruction and materials needed to create a unique pencil drawing from a photo you will provide of a person or animal. Please RSVP and receive additional details by calling 548-5760.

Artist Mary Jo Wentz will host a Needle Felting Workshop on Saturday May 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A $35 registration fee includes all materials and instruction needed to create a “Chubby Wren” using this felting process. Please call to RSVP. No prior experience is necessary.

The Annual Henning CHAT Bike Rodeo is scheduled for next Tuesday, May 3 at the Landmark Center from 5-7 p.m. This event will include 12 new bike giveaways, a bike safety check, free helmet fittings, obstacle course, bike drag race, a picnic meal and eye screenings for youth. 

The Landmark Center is one of 10 new “Smart Room” meeting spaces within Otter Tail County with new equipment available provided by OTC for free Wi-Fi access and virtual meeting technology. Call for details or to reserve space for a future meeting.

You are invited to attend the Landmark Center annual meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 8 at 5 p.m. We welcome your participation and ask for your feedback about the activities we have provided for the past 12 years. We also welcome any suggestions about future goals, activities, and usage of this wonderful public facility. 

New volunteers and board members are always welcomed. Voting for officers will take place at this meeting.
