Landmark Center

Dan Broten

The Landmark Center will host a wreathmaking workshop this Saturday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fresh pine boughs and decorations will be provided for registration fee of $10 per wreath, giving you a chance to create a custom wreath that will get you through the holiday season.

Make one as a gift for a friend or relative.

Our readers group, Beverage and a Book, will meet from 2-4 p.m. on November 21 to discuss “House Rules” by Jodi Picoult. Copies of this book are available at the Landmark Center for those wishing to join the discussion.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving next week, we are only a few weeks away from our Santa Day activities in Henning on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The Landmark Center will once again host Santa and Mrs. Claus for photos from 2-4 p.m., with snack gift bags provided by Henning Chamber of Commerce. The Henning Lions will provide a free will lunch meal from 2-5 p.m. An ornament bar will be available for you to create a custom decoration for your home tree, or for the community tree at the Landmark Center.

A lighted community parade will begin around 5 p.m. followed by Tree lighting at the Landmark Center around 6 p.m., with cookies and hot chocolate served by local church youth groups and caroling by the tree.

Get out and root for the Bulldogs this Thursday as they continue their winning streak.

A time to be proud of your Henning roots, Go Dawgs.
