Ceramic artist Mimi Seykora will host a five day pottery workshop at the Landmark Station of Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 3, 5, 10, 12 and 17.

Participants can choose their own projects using wheel throwing, hand building, or slab construction methods. Seykora will guide you through the steps to create as many pieces as you can using up to 25lbs. of Stoneware Clay. Spacing of classes will allow for drying time and Kiln firing. Space is limited to eight participants, so please call the Landmark Center soon to register. A $100 fee includes all materials and kiln firings.

Fargo Artist Jon Offutt will return to Landmark with his portable glass blowing studio for free demonstrations from September 20-21, with six demos on Friday and six demos on Saturday. Each demo lasts about 40-minutes and allows you to watch up close the creation of two pieces step by step, taken from molten glass to finished artwork.

“This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.”

The Landmark Center is available for public and private meetings, family gatherings, reunions, receptions, workshops and has five retreat bedrooms on our second floor, with space for up to 10 overnight guests.
