Landmark Center

The Landamark Center will host musician Laura MacKenzie for an evening of Celtic Yuletide music, on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. Please join us for this free one-hour event featuring a celebration of Yuletide holiday favorites, many with Celtic origins, arranged with traditional Irish and Scottish music and presented on a unique array of wind-powered instruments, including wooden flutes, whistles, concertina, several types of bagpipes, gemshorn and voice. This event is brought to us by the Viking Library System with grant funding from the Mnnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

This week we express Thanks to our many members, supporters, and donors that help make Landmark Center thrive. Our goal is to provide a safe and inviting facility for community celebration and exploration. Please remember that Landmark is here for you to use for your public or private gatherings, meetings, receptions, reunions, workshops, and overnight retreats.

We have 5 bedrooms with space for 10 overnight guests, perfect for your visiting relatives and friends during the holidays and throughout the year. Please call 548-5760 for details.

The Landmark Center will be open on Santa Day, December 7, beginning at 10 a.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for visiting from 2-4 p.m. The Henning Lions will also provide lunch at the Landmark Center.

A lighted holiday parade will line up at 4:30 p.m. near St.Edwards, then make its way through the city, ending back at Landmark for community Tree lighting and caroling by the fire pits.

During the day you can support post prom making porch pots near the station, also activities at Trinity Center and at the Farmstand. Get out and celebrate our community with family and friends, wishing you peace as we prepare for a New Year.
