0A warm welcome to you all during this cold February week, and a reminder that Landmark Center remains open and available to you for limited sized gatherings, meetings, workshops, Zoom meetings, or just for a warm place to sit and connect to the internet.
The Viking Library continues to use Landmark Center as temporary Bookmobile, dropping pre-ordered books every two weeks available for pick-up from 1-4 p.m. that day. Next delivery will be Thursday, Feb. 18. Call Viking Library at (218) 739-5286 to order your books and videos.
This Friday, Feb. 12 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Landmark Center will be the featured topic of conversation during the Otter Tail County Historical Society Coffee Klatch via Zoom. Find the link on their website and hear from Director Dan Broten and MN historian Rolf Anderson about the history of Landmark Center and its origins as residence and clinic for Dr. A.J. Lewis dating back to 1914. Find the Zoom link at www.otchs.org
This Coffee Klatch series continues every Friday until March 26 featuring a variety of local history speakers.
Henning CHAT group is collecting used ink cartridges at several locations in Henning, including First National Bank, Henning Post Office, and Landmark Center. Please help us recycle those used cartridges and keep them out of the landfill.
While activities are currently quiet at the Landmark Center, we are busy working on a Spring and Summer schedule of events including many arts workshops that can safely be attended by a limited number of participants. Watch for our Summer schedule as we are able to confirm details.
If you have a project or particular art workshop you would like to see offered in Henning, please let us know and we will try to make it happen. Until then, please stay safe, mask up when in public, and be patient, get the vaccine when you can, and know that we will get through this together. Please contact Dan at 548-5760 the Landmark Center with any question regarding activities or facility usage.
