Landmark Center

Dan Broten

Henning Landmark wishes you all a happy and healthy New Year. As the days get longer, we are promised a return to the warmth of summer including a long list of events and opportunities made available to you at the Landmark Center and throughout the Henning community.

We have much to be grateful for, including a community that has the ability to come together and make great things happen for us all. As we begin the New Year, please consider how you might take part in the solution, making our community celebrate the rewards we receive when we work together. A volunteer hour at the Landmark Center, the food shelf, or the new Community Thrift Store will help to make our community much stronger. Please consider participating as a volunteer. We can each step up and help reduce our challenges by working together.

Please remember that Henning Landmark Center is available for you to host public or private meetings, family gatherings, Free public Wi-Fi connection, organizational meetings, arts workshops, receptions, or overnight retreats. Our second floor retreat center offers five bedrooms, two bathrooms, and space for up to 10 overnight guests. Please contact the Landmark Center at 548-5760 for additional information or to reserve space for your next event.

The Landmark Center has a collection of local Henning Historical artifacts and is in the process of working with a local group to produce a Historical Henning Book. If you have any Henning stories from past or present that you would be willing to share, please contact Dan at Landmark Center. Any photographs from the past would be welcomed. Photos can be scanned at Landmark and originals returned to you. Please help us tell the complete story of the history of Henning, and why our residents ended up calling this are home.

Artist Mari Fredericks will host an open house Card Making Class from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20. No prior experience is necessary. Please contact Mari at (601) 951-0747 to RSVP.
