Landmark Center gears up for 16th year in Henning

Happy New Year 2025 from the Henning Landmark Center. As we begin our 16th year serving the Henning community we are busy planning arts workshops, events, and activities available to all. Your input is welcomed, please let us know if there are any specific opportunities you would like to see provided by Landmark.
irst priority will be completing design of two large community mural puzzles themed on Landmark Center activities and Henning History. Our goal is to have one ready later in January and the other in late February, asking for community assistance in the assembly of these large murals.
Other art workshops being considered are watercolor painting, pottery, wood burning, knitting, alcohol inks, wood carving, blacksmithing, barn quilt painting, basket weaving, and more…Please let us know what activities you would like to try.
Beyond our many workshops, Landmark Center offers space for public and private meetings, family gatherings, receptions, reunions, and overnight retreats. Our second floor retreat center has five bedrooms with space for up to 10 overnight guests. We offer free public Wi-Fi, a Smartroom meeting space, and provide a location for the Viking Library Bookmobile every other Tuesday.
Our monthly Book Club meets every 4th Tuesday from 2-4pm, coinciding with Bookmobile visits. Next book club meeting is January 14, all are welcomed to join.
We are seeking out vendors to participate in Markey Days at the Station, starting in late spring, Fridays or Saturdays throughout the summer. Please let us know if you are interested in participating.
The Landmark Annual Meeting is open to the public and scheduled for Wednesday, June 11 at 5 p.m. We will also host our annual Corn, Brat and Burger Feed on Thursday, Aug. 21 from 5-7 p.m., and our Pie and Pumpkin Oktoberfest on Saturday October 4th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Our year will end with another Santa Day celebration on December 6.
