Henning School

Next week is homecoming week and what a great time this is. The students get to dress up and show their spirit at several home events. 

Being a cheerleader for four years in high school, I looked forward to the planning of the assemblies and the spirit lines. We would form massive lines of people from the locker room down to the football field and everyone would be hollering for the team as they ran past and entered onto the football field after running through an A-frame that was covered in paper with our team logo on it.  

The pep band would perform a march on the field during half time and the king and queen would be announced as they drove around the track in a convertible.  Homecoming is a time for graduates to come back and catch up on their lives and cheer on the players.  

With opportunities for volleyball, football, and cross country events happening we hope you will find yourself getting to an event and cheering on our Hornets and Bulldogs.
