Library Happenings

Henning School

The Henning Public School Library will be open on June 7 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the first of six Wednesday summer reading days.

On Wednesday, June 7 from 10-11 a.m. Mrs. Wiese will be reading some special stories from our new children’s books donated by the Pilcrow Foundation. We will be having a light snack, a small craft, and a game to go along with one of the stories.

The next summer library day will be June 28 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. During that time we will be featuring books all about math. We received a Mathical grant that has allowed us to purchase 42 books specific to math. These books will have their “home” in a special location in the library and will be used not only by the students, but by classroom teachers as well as intervention staff. The students have been especially excited to receive these books. We will showcase them on July 26.

We are very thankful for the Farmers Elevator in Fergus Falls that donated $100 to the Henning Public School Library to purchase new books. We have also received $500 from Lund Boats in New York Mills and $2,000 from Lake Region Power.

We value each dollar that is given to the library Pages for a Purpose campaign, using every strategy we can to achieve the best books for our students.

We hope to see you on June 7 and June 28 for the first two summer library days at Henning Public School library. We will be open from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
