Library Happenings

Henning School

The Henning School Library recently received a title four grant for $1,000.  With this money we chose to purchase a set of new state books. The set that we replaced was from 1974.  The new books are full of vivid colored images and more precise informational text.

The 1974 set of books were visibly worn, faded and quite thick with black and white images.

The new set is 52 books, which includes Washington DC and Puerto Rico. The book company had made an error in the shipping of the new set of books, and when they sent the replacement set, they chose to allow us to keep the other set at no cost. This was exciting news for us as not we have two complete sets of United States State books that cover information for kindergarten through adult.

From the first day these books were put out for checkout they have been a big hit with the elementary students.  We are truly grateful for each dollar we are given.

We would like to see you so please stop up to the Henning Library and let us help you find just the book you’ll need for your summer enjoyment.
