The last of our Summer Reading series is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31 at 7pm, with guest reader Thomas Williams followed by a short activity and refreshments.

Please mark your calendars for the annual Corn, Brat and Burger Feed at the Landmark Center on Friday, Aug. 23 from 5-7 p.m. Chef Doug will prepare grilled brats and burgers, fresh sweet corn will be provided by Buehler’s Produce. Join us for a free-will meal, silent auction items, live music by Darren Quam, and refreshing root beer floats for dessert. Help us celebrate late summer with friends and family.

Our outdoor Market Day at the Station continues on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. We hope to have our usual vendors as well as some fresh produce. Please call 548-5760 to register as a new vendor.

Coming in September, the Landmark Center will host a five-day pottery workshop with Mimi Seykora. Classes are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 3, 5, 10, 12 and 17. Space is limited so early registration is suggested. Call for details.

Also in September, glass blowing artist Jon Offutt will provide two-days of free demonstrations, Six demos per day, on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21. “This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.”
