To the Editor,

Reading about plans for updating the city park has been really enjoyable and uplifting. I’ll admit my eyebrows raised a bit seeing the placement of the picnic shelter so close to the bathrooms. Dan assured me they will be in a better place.

It seems the committee has planned carefully. Always with a project like this, financing becomes a major issue. Having the shop class at the school involved is an excellent idea. Hopefully you (at least some of you) will go and have a picnic at the tables you built. Maybe you can have your picture in the Citizen’s Advocate. I’m looking forward to the fruition of this project.

I urge area residents to do what they can to pitch in and make this happen.
