To the Editor,

We need to change the way the current city council is operating. We need to go back to the way it was in the past when things were run the right way.

The mayor should be the one who gathers the facts, talks to citizens and brings the information for the council and the mayor to vote on. That’s the way the city council was run for generations and it worked well, unlike today where we have a few city council members who think they are in charge and try to take over the role of the mayor during the meetings.

The disfunction of the current city council needs to stop. If we can get back to the way things were run in the past we can start to move forward as a community. There is no need for what is going on and it is causing more harm than good.

We have a great police chief who should be shown respect by the city council and mayor. We are lucky to have him as a chief of police and member of this community.

If we have to vote lets do it now.
