Timothy Frederick Geyer, age 45, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at Essentia Health in Fargo, N.D. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ottertail, with Rev. Dr. Karl Weber, Pastor officiating. Congregational Hymns were accompanied by Marcus Lueders. Timothy will be laid to rest at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Ottertail.

Tim was born on February 20, 1980, in Wadena, to Susan (Nelson) Geyer and the late Dalmer Geyer.

Tim graduated from Henning High School in 1999, and then went on to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Carlson School of Management. Tim was incredibly smart, especially with numbers – his analytical mind and drive for excellence led him to a successful career in finance.

After college Tim moved to New York City and worked on Wall Street as a Junior Stock Analyst. He later returned to Minnesota. He lived on Lake Minnetonka and worked for Piper Jaffrey. Eventually he joined Brunswick in New York Mills as a controller for Lund and Crestliner Boats.

On June 26, 2010, Tim married the love of his life Becky Buehler, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ottertail. Their family grew in 2011 with the birth of their daughter, Brooklynn.

In 2015 Tim, Becky and Brooklynn made their home in Old Kinderhook on Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, where Tim worked as Director of Finance for Brunswick’s Lowe Division. In 2019 they returned to Ottertail and built their dream home on Buchanan Lake. He was most recently employed as CFO for Rejuve Medical in St. Cloud, Minn.

Tim was full of life, genuine, and sharp as a tack. His quick wit and great sense of humor came through in his sharp observations, clever jokes, and lighthearted nature. His love of sports began in childhood, collecting sports cards and absorbing every stat he could find, which grew into a lifelong, unmatched passion for athletics, especially the Minnesota Gophers. He could rattle off stats and facts about any team or player – he truly knew everything about every sport.

Tim enjoyed fishing and traveling – especially to his favorite destination, Turks and Caicos, where he loved soaking up the sun and relaxing on the beach and by the pool with Becky and Brooklynn. He also had a deep appreciation for music, which added a soundtrack to many of his favorite memories.

Tim is preceded in death by his father, Dal Geyer; infant brother, Anthony Geyer; grandparents: Marlin Nelson; Leo and Esther Geyer; God Father, Donald Gaustad.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Becky Geyer; beloved daughter, Brooklynn Geyer; mother, Susan Geyer (Don Eckhoff); Grandmother, Ruby Nelson; brothers: Ben (Becky) Geyer and Jeremy Geyer; sister-in-law, Lindsey Buehler; brothers-in-law: Aaron (Alli) Buehler and Adam (Tyann) Buehler; parents-in-law: Kirk and Deb Buehler; many  loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who will forever miss his spirit, laughter, and warmth.
