0Thomas J. Perreten, 82, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed away on January 12, 2021 after battling Alzheimer’s for 5 years. He maintained his sense of humor, twinkling blue eyes, and infectious smile through his struggle. He was surrounded by his family at his time of passing.
Tom was born in Wadena to Earl and Beulah Perreten. After graduating from Henning High School, in Henning, he enlisted in the Air Force. He resided much of his life in Faribault, Minn. He was employed as a die setter at Genova Inc. for 25 years.
Tom was loved by many, and he could talk to anyone for hours. His greatest joy in life was his family, of whom he loved very much. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Somluck; his daughters, Sandra (Paul) Lundstrom of Nisswa, Minn., and Tammy (Brad) Churchill of Johnston, Iowa; his grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Madie, Will, Jack, and Ellie; and his siblings, David, Margaret, William and Cynthia.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Beulah Perreten and his grandson, Trevor Churchill.
