Memorial services will be held for Sylvia Fraki age 101, of Perham, on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Apostolic Lutheran Church with Pastor Nicholas Kandoll officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation, accompanied by Janet Tumberg. Special music was provided by Nicole Welch.  

Sylvia E. (Hentila) Fraki was born on February 18, 1920 at home in Deer Creek Township, rural New York Mills. Her parents were Matti and Alexandra (Hyrynkangas) Hentila.  Sylvia grew up on the family farm near Heinola and attended the Leaf River Country School. Following her marriage to Abiel Fraki they farmed in Heinola area, ran a boarding-nursing home for elderly men and raised their 3 children. In 1959 they moved to Minneapolis, Minn., where Sylvia worked at Honeywell until their retirement in 1978. They lived in the Henning and New York Mills area after their retirement. Sylvia moved to New York Mills Elders Home in 2007, they Henning Health Care Center in 2018, and Perham Living in 2019. 

She passed away at Perham Living February 3, 2022 at 101 years, 11 months old. Preceding Sylvia in death were her parents, husband Abiel, daughter, Ethel (Teri) Sinnen; brothers: Eino, William, Walter and Henry Hentila; sisters: Ella Bernu, Esther Hentila, Hilma Fiskari, Ida Hentila, Hulda Lahti, Mayme Hentila, Alma Anderson and Martha Miller. 

Sylvia is survived by her sons: Duane (Judy) Fraki and David A. Fraki; son-in-law, Stephen Sinnen; grandchildren: Tessa (Bob) Formanek, Scott (Sally) Fraki, Mark (Tena) Fraki, Anna (Brian) Tucker, Chad (Deb) Sinnen, David J. (Lucy) Fraki; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many other friends and relatives.
