Orville W. Fenske, age 91 of Ottertail, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at Perham Living. 

He was born on September 27, 1934 to Erwin and Ella (Bormann) Fenske in Finlayson, Minn. He graduated from Perham High School in 1954. Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Army, serving from 1954 to 1956. 

Orville spent time delivering for the Ottertail Elevator, which is where he met his future wife, Gladys, who worked at Northern Co-Op. The two were married on November 15, 1969 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ottertail.

Orville was a life-long farmer, spending most of his time on the family farm in Ottertail. He also spent many years as a volunteer for Ottertail Fire and Rescue. 

Surviving Orville are his son, Brian Fenske; nieces, Brenda Haspel and Jeannie Olson; nephews, Allan Fenske and Johnnie Olson; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Ella Fenske; wife, Gladys Fenske; son, Terry Fenske; daughter, Michelle Fenske; brother, Orlin Fenske; sister, LuAnn Olson; nephew, Craig Fenske, and niece, Tammy Bahnson. 

Visitation was from 10-11:00 a.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ottertail. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
