Michelle Louise Sydow was born in Minneapolis, Minn., February 23, 1968 to Roger and Elaine (Sumstad) Sydow. She was raised in Spring Lake Park, Minn., Henning and Ottertail.

  Michelle fought a long and hard battle with breast cancer, she was cancer free for 6 years. Two years ago she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in her bones. During the last years she sure put her best foot forward. She spent one winter with her daughter, Jessica and her daughter, Kazlynn in Texas. When it was time for her to come back to Minnesota daughter, Samantha and sister, Sherry road tripped to Texas to bring her home. Many wonderful memories made during her time in Texas. This last winter Michelle was able to go to Florida to spend some time in the sun.

  Michelle’s favorite pastimes were playing Bingo, going to the casino, fishing, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends.

  Michelle is survived by her daughters, Jessica (Jeremy) Sydow of Weatherford, Texas and  Samantha Meir (Alex) of Circle Pines Minn.; granddaughters, Hayden and Kazlynn; sister, Sherry (Jim) Wallenberg of Clitherall; nephews, Aric and Kyle Fosse of Clitherall. She also leaves behind many friends, many of them she considered her extended family.

A gathering of family and friends for sharing memories and stories is Sunday, July 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ottertail Community Center.
