Marlowe Klever, age 87, of Henning, passed away on May 23, 2023, at Astera Health in Wadena. Memorial Services were held on May 31, 2023, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Henning with Pastor Dan Larsen officiating. Congregational Hymns were provided by Dianne Gutknecht. Special Music was provided by Albert Boldt. Marlowe was laid to rest at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Henning.

Marlowe Martin Klever was born on December 6, 1935, to Harry and Hulda (Zarn) Klever at home in Henning. He attended Henning High School, graduating with the class of 1953. Following high school, Marlowe enlisted in the United States Army, honorably serving his country from 1954 to 1957.

On October 4, 1958, Marlowe was united in marriage to Charlyne Kytonen at United Lutheran Church in Henning. They were blessed with three children. Together they made their home in Silver Bay, Minn., where Marlowe was employed as a mechanic and foreman for Reserve Mining Company for 30 years. In 1989, Marlowe and Charlyne moved back to Henning where Marlowe farmed for another 30 years.

Marlowe was a member of the Deer Creek American Legion, and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Henning. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Silver Bay and served as an Elder and in many other ways. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and loved to go on family hunting, fishing, and camping trips.

Preceding Marlowe in death are his parents; sister: Gladys; and brothers: Marvin, and Harvey.

Marlowe is survived by his wife of 64 years, Charlyne; children: Marlene (Mark) Rosenthal; Sherry (Charles) Corsiglia; and Harry Klever; grandchildren: Jillyan, Harison, Izabella, Katarina, Jaxsen, and Genavieve; great-grandchildren: Kyzer, and Estella; siblings: Alice Wassink; Maynard Klever; and Harry (Linda) Klever; brother-in-law: Donald Bennett; and sister-in-law: Kathy Klever; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Some of Marlowe’s last words were: “I’m ready to see my Lord and Savior” along with, “I love you.”

He will be dearly missed.
