Linda K. Trosdahl passed away on November 19, 2025, at Country Living Adult Foster Care in Henning. She was born on May 6, 1954, to Laverne and Beverly (Johnson) Olson in Parkers Prairie, where she was raised in the surrounding rural community.

A 1972 graduate of Parkers Prairie High School, Linda continued her education at St. Mary’s Junior College and St. Catherine University. She dedicated her professional life to helping others as an occupational therapist, working in Gonzales, Texas, Rochester, Minn., and the Twin Cities before working 17 years in the Alexandria School District and finally 22 years with Tri-County Health in Wadena until her retirement in 2020.

Linda met Richard Trosdahl at his brother Dean’s wedding in 1979. Dick and Linda were married on October 10, 1981, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie. Their union was blessed with two children, Rob and Laura.

Deeply involved in her community, Linda served on the Henning School Board for 13 years and was a devoted member of Nidaros Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School and served as Superintendent. She also participated in the Nidaros WELCA group and other church activities. Her love of fellowship extended to recreational activities such as playing on a women’s softball team and bowling in a couple’s league with Dick and friends.

Linda found great joy in gardening, baking, card making, needlepoint, and knitting. Among her greatest joys were her grandsons, whom she cherished deeply.

Linda is preceded into death by her parents Laverne and Bev; parents-in-law Bennie and Eleanor; brother Bruce Olson, nephew Kyle Olson, and infant grandson Bryton Trosdahl.

Linda will be remembered by her husband Richard of 44 years; children Robert (Tammy) Trosdahl and Laura (Jake) Grefsrud; grandsons: Austin Trosdahl and Mason Grefsrud; brother Gary (Kathee Carlson) Olson; sisters-in-law: Joyce Olson and Diane (Orlin) Bjerketvedt; brother-in-law: Dean (Marie) Trosdahl; nieces and nephews: Charlie Olson, Chelsea (Arnie) Nelson, Erika (Nathan) Field, Amber (Garrett) Eastwood, Julie Trosdahl, Ryan (Katie) Trosdahl, and Scott (Heather) Trosdahl; many great-nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family would like to thank Home Instead, Mark and Karlene Doll and the Country Living staff, and Vivie Hospice for assisting with Linda’s care over the past year.

Her legacy of service, creativity, and devotion will be remembered by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those whose lives she touched.
