Gary Donald Selvaag, 64, died after a long struggle with cancer on Tuesday, May 4 in Fargo, N.D. 

He was born on March 20, 1957 in Wadena to Donald and Deloris Selvaag. In 1981 he married Merle Holcomb and together they raised two sons, Erik and Jay. He attended Moorhead State University and earned a BA in Business Administration. Gary worked in the optical sales industry for 32 years and was loved by customers and colleagues alike. 

Gary is survived by his wife, children, and granddaughters. A caring soul, Gary was funny and enjoyed spending time with his family.
