Frances M. Blask, 86 of Freeport, Minn., passed away on Saturday, August 21 at Manor Court.  She was born January 1, 1935 in Henning, to the late Otto and Inger (Nyhus) Juvrud Sr. She married Jack Blask and he passed in May of 2020.  They were both employed at Micro Switch for many years.

She was a member of Park Hills Evangelical Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking.  She enjoyed living at the Liberty Village apartments in her last years.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Glenn) Sharkey of Freeport; Her son  Paul (Marie) Schroeder of Rockford, Minn., Step daughter, Cindy (Scott) Jensen of Minneapolis, Minn.; and step-sons Randy (Lori) Blask of Baileyville, Ill.; Brian Lake of Minneapolis, Minn., and James Blask of Madison, Wis..  Her brother Russell (Pat) Juvrud of Henning and her sister Ardyce Fjestad of Fergus Falls; as well as a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at Walker Mortuary on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 3 p.m. There will be no visitation. A private burial will take place at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Terry Miller and all the nurses and staff at FHN, FHN hospice and Manor Court during her last few months. “Whatever you have done for the least of these, you have done for me” Matthew 25:40.
