Funeral services will be held for Dolores Quick, age 81 of Fergus Falls (formerly of Vining) on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Vining Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jan Smith officiating. The hymns will be sung by the congregation, accompanied by Carleen Markuson. The pallbearers will be Dylan Jorgenson, Tanner Jorgenson, Zach Jorgenson, Alex Jorgenson, Max Boe, Brian Maas, Torrie Maas, and Abby Griffin.  Dolores will be laid to rest at the Preston Lutheran Church Cemetery in Kathryn, N.D.

Dolores Fern Vee was born on October 14, 1942, in Nome, N.D. Her parents were the late Theodore and Ruby (Olsen) Vee. Dolores went through the 8th grade at Country School District #1 in Preston, N.D. and then graduated from Enderlin High School with the class of 1960.

On October 21, 1960, Dolores was united in marriage with Ray Dennis Jorgenson at the Preston Lutheran Church in Kathryn, N.D. They resided in Lisbon, N.D. and then moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota. While living in Grand Forks, Dolores attended the University of North Dakota where she received a degree in teaching in 1989. Ray passed away in 1995. Dolores continued to teach pre-school in Grand Forks until 1997 and then made her home in Henning where she was a substitute teacher.             

On May 10, 2003, Dolores was united in marriage with Ivan Ardee Quick at the Vining Lutheran Church in Vining. Together they resided in Henning and enjoyed spending winters on Pine Island, Fla. Ivan passed away on November 24, 2020. Dolores made her home in Fergus Falls.

On December 26, 2023, Dolores passed away peacefully at Pioneer Care in Fergus Falls, at 81 years of age. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Dolores in death were her parents Theodore and Ruby Vee; husbands, Ray Jorgenson and Ivan Quick.

Dolores is survived by her sons: Dennis (Lauri) Jorgenson of Pelican Rapids; Dale (Tina) Jorgenson of Kingman, Ariz.; daughter: Linda (Mikie Boe) Jorgenson of Mabank, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Vee; many other relatives and a host of friends.
