Arlow Skjegstad, 102, was born on January 18, 1921 in rural Henning to August and Elvina Skjegstad. He passed away on April 9, 2023. 

He graduated from Henning High School. He married Hazel Christianson of Vining and together they raised six children: Judith (Richard) Eckhoff, Joann (Jim) Shaw, Virginia (Don) Meyer, Jack (Diane) Skjegstad, Jerilyn Skjegstad, Wendy (Gary) Rockswold, 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. 

Arlow was a US Army Veteran WWII occupation of Japan. A journeyman with FR Stuart Plumbing in Henning, then worked for a downtown Minneapolis company as Master plumber while purchasing Rainbow Camp on East Battle Lake with the family operating the resort for five years. Divorced and remarried he and wife Carol reside in Edina, Minn., and loved their winter home in Florida.
