Annella Reineke, age 87, of Henning, passed away September 11, 2024 at Essentia Health in Fargo, N.D. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. with sharing time at 6:30 p.m. at Belmont-Karvonen Funeral Home in Henning. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 3 p.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Henning. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at church.  Pallbearers will be Cyrus Shaw, Isaac Hendricks, Jay Irwin, Brandon Nordick, David Lorentz, Luke Hendricks, Patrick Wellnitz, and Xavier Reineke. Annella will be laid to rest at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery, Henning.

Annella Margaret Woida was born on June 3, 1937, to August and Theresia (Klimek) Woida in Urbank. She was baptized on June 6, 1937, and was confirmed on May 28, 1951, at Sacred Heart Church in Urbank. Annella attended Sacred Heart School through the 8th grade, and Parkers Prairie High School through the 10th grade.

On November 17, 1955, Annella was united in marriage to Leon Reineke. Their marriage was blessed with 10 children. They made their home in various places, until settling in Henning in 1962.

Annella was an incredible homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a huge love for her family. “It is more important to be rich in love, than to be rich in money” was her motto. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, setting puzzles, birdwatching, and Wheel of Fortune.

Preceding Annella in death are her parents, August and Theresia; husband, Leon; infant daughter, Ann; granddaughter, Veronica Rutledge; son-in-law, Tom Shaw; brothers: Delmer and Andrew (Phyllis) Woida; sisters-in-law: Rebecca Reineke; Ilene Woida; and brother-in-law: James Reineke.

Annella is survived by her children: Gwendolyn Shaw; Rose (Steve) Lorentz; Jerome (Monica) Reineke; Sharon (Joel) Hendricks; Wanda (Tim) Hendricks; Mary (Dan) Conlin; Patricia (Keith) Wellnitz; Virginia (Dale) Nordick; and Joseph (Samantha) Reineke; 36 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; siblings: Jane (Charles) Reineke; Wilfred Woida; Sister Mariterese Woida; and Eleanore (William) Jones; sister-in-law: Mary Woida; many other relatives and a host of friends.
