Former Henning English teacher Marjorie Quammen read to Henning Elementary fourth graders who met the library’s reading challenge back in April. The students also received a mug of hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles for meeting the reading challenge.

Jan Hill, of the Ottertail Business and Community Association, presented Jessica Thompson and family a plant to welcome them and their new business, Soda Shop and Lollipops to Ottertail city. The new business is located on Main Street. 

Math Masters this year competed online instead of face to face due to COVID-19 restrictions. Representing Henning on March 16 were sixth graders Luke Schmidt and Elliot Severson. They competed with 15 other school districts from around the area. Math Masters is a Minnesota competition for fifth and sixth graders.

Nathan and Kristy Thalmann are happy to announce the birth of their twin daughters,  Monika Anne and Kate Elizabeth. Henning School students and staff celebrated Dr. Seuss during its annual Green Eggs and Ham breakfast on Tuesday morning. In addition to breakfast, Henning School principal Thomas Williams presented a number of students with prizes of everything from books to big hats. 

Kenneth and Toni Erlandson are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily.  Emily is engaged to Hayden Brown, the son of Reverend Scott and Tammy Brown of Leaf Valley, Minn.  A wedding is planned for June of 2021.
