New officer has 20 years of experience

Medley Shamp has been chosen as the new Chief Ambulatory Officer at Tri-County Health Care. Shamp was previously employed as Director of Clinic Operations for the organization. 

Shamp comes to the position with more than 20 years of experience in various clinical and nursing roles at Tri-County Health Care. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with orthopedics, satellite clinics, and virtually every department within the hospital system.  

Additionally, Shamp has an extensive educational background including a Registered Nursing degree from Minnesota State Community and Technical College and a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. 

“We were fortunate to have had several highly qualified candidates to choose from in this search but in the end, we chose Medley because of her outstanding tenure with our organization. I have no doubt in my mind she will bring enormous value to Tri-County Health Care as our new Chief Ambulatory Officer,” said Joel Beiswenger, president and CEO of Tri-County Health Care. Administrative staff and recruiters went on a three-month search for potential candidates before making their decision. 

When asked about her new role, Shamp expressed excitement for the opportunity to serve the organization in an administrative capacity. “Many past and current staff and leaders at Tri-County have been active supporters in my personal and professional growth, impacting who I am as a leader,” said Shamp.
