The Otter Tail Central 13U Babe Ruth team fell to Hawley at the 2022 state tournament on July 23. The tournament was held in Henning and Battle Lake. 

Last Saturday’s game against Hawley 13U was a heartbreaker for OTC, as they lost the lead late in a 17-7 defeat. The game was tied at 7-7 with Hawley 13u batting in the bottom of the sixth inning when Hadley singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

OTC collected 10 hits and Hawley had 12 in the high-scoring affair.

OTC tallied three runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by a single by Grove and an error on a ball put in play by Schwartz.

Grove took the loss for OTC as he allowed 11 hits and 11 runs over five innings, striking out two.

The Bulldogs racked up 10 hits. Grove, Schwartz, Baker, and Bushman all managed multiple hits.
