OTC splits a pair with Frazee

0Bulldogs sweep Moorhead
The Otter Tail Central Junior Legion team had all cylinders firing on offense on Thursday, winning big over Frazee by a score of 11-1.
In the first inning, the Bulldogs got their offense started when a sacrifice bunt by Jayden Harig scored two runs for the Bulldogs.
Gavin Pausch took the win for OTC as he surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out five and walking zero.
Derek Zitzow took the loss for Frazee. He allowed five hits and five runs over three innings, striking out three.
OTC hit two home runs on the day. Soren Floden went yard in the first inning and Hunter Haugen had a long ball in the third inning.
Haugen led the way offensively for OTC as he went 3-for-3 at the plate.
In the second game of the day, OTC outhit Frazee by a 7-5 margin, but fell by a score of 4-2.
Zach Ngyen was credited with the victory for Frazee. The pitcher allowed seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Owen Harig took the loss for OTC as he lasted three innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out three.
Jayden Harig went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the way for OTC.
Friday
OTC takes a pair from Moorhead under the lights on Friday night in Henning.
In the first game, Tyson Misegades shut down Moorhead 15’s, throwing a complete game shutout and leading OTC to a 5-0 victory.
The Bulldogs opened up scoring in the first inning. Owen Harig doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Misegades was on point on the mound as he went five innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out two and walking zero.
The Bulldogs scattered eight hits in the game. Hunter Haugen and Owen Harig collected two hits apiece to lead the Bulldogs.
In the second game there were runs aplenty as OTC defeated Moorhead 10-6.
Moorhead fired up the offense in the first inning, when Werth grounded out, scoring two runs.
The Bulldogs pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second inning, Hunter Haugen homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Tyson Misegades singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Lane Dilly doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Moorhead scored three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Moorhead was led by Groce and Fredrickson, who all drove in runs.
Dilly earned the win for OTC. The pitcher allowed zero hits and three runs over four innings, striking out three. Kale Misegades threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
OTC launched one home run on the day. Haugen had a homer in the second inning. Collecting hits in the nightcap were Tyson Misegades, Kale Misegades, Owen Harig, Dilly, Haugen, Buehler and Pausch. Jayden Harig led OTC with two hits in three at bats.
The Bulldogs move to 12-4 on the season, 4-0 in league play. Coming up the Bulldogs will host Parkers Prairie on Tuesday Night, a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. at Tony Kawlewski Field.
