Henning is the community in which my sisters and I grew up, and went to high school. Our mother, Dorothy Waskosky, sold her farm and moved to an apartment at Willow Creek 3 1/2 years ago. She recently needed to transfer to a memory care unit.

I would like to commend the city for owning and maintaining this gem of a place my mom called home. It is professional, and very well-run. The building itself is warm and welcoming, and the staff is chosen for their caring hearts as well as skills, and respectful interactions with residents. I am a retired nurse, and have been very impressed.

Thank you, as a city, for ultimately showing respect for the people who built this community by providing a place for them to stay in the community they love.

And thank you to Lisa and staff for their excellent care of my mom. It has not been easy to keep the residents safe in these years of covid-19. You, Lisa, have always been available for questions and concerns. You have maintained calm and real caring and leadership. That was so appreciated by my family.
