OTC wins fourth straight, to host Vikings in BL

0Otter Tail Central found itself trailing Roseau 6-0 after the first quarter, before scoring 34 unanswered points to blow past the Rams 34-6 on Saturday.
The Rams opened the scoring in the first quarter when Aydon Severson scored on a 2-yard run. The two-point conversion failed, leaving the score at 6-0 in favor of Roseau. That’s when OTC took over as Calvin Stueve put the Bulldogs on the scoreboard with a 9-yard run to tie the score at 6-6. Tanner Arndt found Owen Buehler on a 25-yard pass later in the second quarter and Stueve added his second touchdown run of the quarter, this time from 5-yards out, to make the score 18-6 at halftime.
On their second drive of the third quarter, Mason Hammer gave the Bulldogs a 24-6 lead, which was followed by a successful two-point conversion to put the Bulldogs in front 26-6.
Stueve scored his third touchdown in the game in the fourth quarter, this time from 12-yards out, to make the score 34-6 in favor of OTC.
The Bulldogs dominated the Ram on offense as OTC rushed for 208 yards and passed for another 153 yards. As a comparison, the Rams had just 62 yards of total offense.
Arndt went 13-15 passing for 153 yards and a touchdown in the win. He also rushed 4 times for 43 yards.
Stueve led the team in rushing with 62 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns. Hammer added 48 yards on 13 carries and 1 touchdown. Bricker Bladow rushed 3 times for 40 yards and Tyler Christensen rushed 5 times for 15 yards.
The passing attacked was spread around as Mason Dalluge caught 4 passes for 57 yards and Owen Buehler caught 6 passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. Hammer caught 1 pass for 17 yards, Jack Mekalson caught 2 passes for 16 yards and Stueve caught 1 pass for 13 yards.
This week Otter Tail Central will host Pelican Rapids in Battle Lake. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 3-1 after defeating Underwood 42-0, Frazee 44-14 and Parkers Prairie 28-8. Their lone loss was the Barnesville by a score of 28-14.
