The sixth ranked Henning Hornets continued their season with two more wins last week. The Hornets have been one of few teams being able to continue to play through the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.  

On Monday night, the Hornets were supposed to play Bertha-Hewitt, but plans were changed and Wheaton/Herman-Norcross came to town.  The Hornets defeated WHN 3-0 (25-11, 25-21 and 25-11).  

On Thursday, the Hornets hosted the Menahga Braves. The Hornets defeated the Braves 3-0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-8). With the two wins, the Hornets improved to 9-0 on the season. If things go as planned, the Hornets will host Pillager on Tuesday and then travel to Sebeka on Thursday.

In their game against WHN the Hornets served 97 percent as a team with 9 aces. The team had 38 kills, hitting at .239. As a team the Hornets had 11 solo blocks and they serve received 88 percent to the target. 

Ally Hart led the team with 11 kills, she served 11/11 with 3 aces, and had 19 digs. Megan Rinicker and Grace Hammer each had 8 kills, Ellie Dague had 6 and Emma Severson had 3. Rinicker served 17/17 with 3 aces and also had 2 solo blocks. Hammer led the team with 4 solo blocks. Faith Fisher had a good night defensively as she had 24 digs. Lyvia Misegades led the team in assists with 32.

In the game against Menahga the Hornets served 96 percent with 5 aces. As a team they had 36 kills hitting .292.  Henning also had 9 solo blocks and serve received the ball 84 percent to the target.  

Megan Rinicker led the team in kills with 15, she was 10/10 serving with 1 ace, she had 4 solo blocks and 9 digs. Ellie Dague had 9 kills, 2 aces blocks and 12 digs. Ally Hart had 5 kills, Grace Hammer had 4 and Marea Morstad added 2 kills.  

Ally Hart led the team in digs with 18 and Faith Fisher had 16. Lyvia Misegades dished out 31 assists for the night.
