The Henning Landmark Center is seeking the community’s help in painting a large four part mural on the bathrooms at the city park.

On June 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and June 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., volunteers will have the opportunity to help artist Lana Beck paint a large mural on the otherwise mundane white bathroom in the heart of Henning. Those who want to help with the mural are asked to contact Dan Broten at the Landmark Center at 548-5760 to sign up for an available shift.

Broten said the hope was to provide a splash of color to the park, while also creating some unique photo opportunities for people who visit Henning. 

In addition to the mural, a new picnic shelter will also be constructed in the city park in the next few weeks.
