A few spaces remain for the Stephen Henning Oil Pastel Workshop at Landmark Center this Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please call 548-5760 to RSVP before we fill up. A $35 registration fee includes step by step instruction, 16×20” suede board, and a full set of 50 oil pastels to create an artwork of your choosing.

Henning is also working this week and next week with students at Henning School Art Room to work oil pastels. An exhibit of this work will be on display at the Landmark Center for reception on October 29.

The Landmark Center is working with Trinity Center to present the play “On the Verge” produced by the Andrea Theater and Director Sharon Thalmann, on November 6 at the Trinity Center. There will be a free matinee for Henning High School students, and a 7 p.m. evening performance for $15. This production of “On the Verge” is set in 1888 and follows three women, intrepid world explorers who band together to conquer Terra Incognita, the last most mysterious of unexplored territories.

“This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.”

Please call the Landmark Center to purchase tickets in advance at 548-5760.
