The open house celebrating the life of Dean Bowman of Parkers Prairie will be held on Wednesday, October 2, at the Domian-Anderson Chapel in Bertha from 5-7 p.m.

  Dean Bowman, 70, of Parkers Prairie, passed away on September 26, 2024, at Centra Care Hospital in Long Prairie with family by his side.

He was born on August 10, 1954, at Parkers Prairie Hospital to Wayne and Hertha (Schmidt) Bowman, and was baptized and confirmed at Elmo Lutheran Church.

He grew up in rural Parkers Prairie and graduated from Bertha-Hewitt School in 1972.

On August 2, 1975. he married Terri Beheng. They were blessed with 4 daughters. He was a devoted employee of Farmers Elevator of Henning formally Henning Grain and Feed for 46 years. Away from work he enjoyed deer hunting, playing casino games and word searches. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandkids.  

Preceding Dean in death were his parents Wayne and Hertha, brother David; in-laws Darrel and Vange Beheng; brothers-in-law Frank Arnold, Robert Nelson and Shorty Kingston; and nephew Daniel Kingston.

He is survived by wife Terri; daughters Nicole (Mike Rowe) Alicia, Amber and Katie Bowman; grandchildren Brady and Aubree Bowman, Mason, Nolan and Mikaelynn Rowe; sisters Gloria (Bruce) Anderson, Janet Nelson, Dianne (Terry) Shallock, Sharon Kingston, Deb Arnold; brothers Leon (Shannon) Bowman, Tim (Ruth) Bowman and sister-in-law Betty Bowman; and 2 little buddies Evan and Ethan Bowman; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Elmo Cemetery near Parkers Prairie at a later date.
