A strong storm with up to 80 mile per hour winds knocked out power to thousands of local residents on Saturday night. The storm began shortly after dark and resulted in some large trees being uprooted (right on Milne Ave.). Several pontoons on area lakes, like on Otter Tail Lake (below), were flipped upside down from Saturday’s storm, as well as a camper in Ottertail which was lifted off the ground (below right). On Sunday, power companies from across the region converged on the Henning and Deer Creek area to repair power lines that were knocked down by trees and the wind on Saturday night.
