One accident took place at 12:08 p.m. on March 23 along Interstate 94 in southwestern Otter Tail County. A semi driver sustained injuries after losing control of his vehicle which left the roadway and struck trees.

Sheriff deputies said two people were injured in an accident that took place at 1:05 a.m. on March 25 at the intersection of Highway 10 and Wavy Drive, between Perham and New York Mills. The driver lost control of the vehicle which entered the ditch. Taken to the Perham hospital, with injuries, were the driver and a passenger.

An accident that involved a mini-bus and another vehicle resulted in two injuries at 5:05 p.m. on March 23 at the intersection of Highway 10 and 460th Street, near Perham. Two minor injuries were reported.

Scam avoided

Sheriff deputies said a county resident, on March 23, avoided becoming the victim of a scam.

A caller told a woman she owed money from a past due account and that a person would arrive at her residence to collect the money. The county resident called the sheriff office and deputies told the resident to call 911 if anyone suspicious came to her residence.

The resident said she had withdrawn money from her bank. Deputies told her to return the money back to her bank. They also advised her hang up if the person called her again.
