OTC to compete at annual BBE Tournament

After opening the season on the road, the Otter Tail Central Bulldogs hosted Border West in a dual on Thursday, Dec. 21.

The Bulldogs got off to a quick start with Charlie Bertrand securing a pin over Porter Klemm of Border West at 107 lbs. Lanston Barry put the Bulldogs in front 9-0 when he secured a major decision over Brayden McLain.

Border West won the next five matches by either fall or forfeit to jump out to a 30-9 lead and never looked back as they would go on to secure a 46-27 win over the Bulldogs.

Mason Christianson, Levi Evavold and Kale Rich all picked up first period pins for the Bulldogs at 152 lbs., 160 lbs. and heavyweight.

The loss drops the Bulldogs to 0-7 in duals on the season. OTC competed in the Red River Rumble in Fargo, N.D. over Christmas break. Results from the tournament were not available at the time of press. 

This week the Bulldogs will return to action at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa tournament on Friday.
