The Hornets also secured a 67-57 win over Pillager on Tuesday night and a 60-44 win over Sebeka in conference action last week.

Henning improved to 2-0 in the Park Region Conference with a 67-59 win over Pillager on Tuesday night. The Hornets led by a 39-32 margin at halftime and withstood a fevered Husky comeback attempt in the second half to secure another conference win.
“Pillager is really good and presents some problems on both ends of the floor. They brought everyone back from last year’s team and they are bigger and stronger than last season,” said head coach Randy Misegades. “We’re fortunate and excited to come away with our second conference win.”
The Hornets were led offensively by Kale Misegades who went 12-26 from the floor and hit three 3-pointers to finished with 31 points and 5 rebounds.
Teigan Bjerke had an effective night from the floor with 14 points on 6-10 shooting and 5 rebounds, while Logan Kostelecky hit three 3-pointers to finish with 13 points.
Lane Dilly scored 5 points to round out the scoring and had a team-high 13 rebounds in the win.
“Lane Dilly battled all night on the defensive end and on the glass. He was giving up 7-8 inches on the man he was guarding and showed a ton of determination,” said Misegades.

Henning jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, despite having a slow start to the game on the offensive end of the court. The Hornets took a 32-21 lead at the half and went on to defeat the Sebeka Trojans by a score of 60-44 on the road.
“Tough conference win on the road tonight. We got off to a slow start, shot the ball poorly, and battled foul trouble again. We just never found any sort of rhythm or flow,” said head coach Randy Misegades.
As a team the Hornets shot just 41 percent from the floor and went just 5-23 from the 3-point line.
“We are proud of our guys for finding a way to get the win when we didn’t have our best night,” said Misegades.
Kale Misegades finished with a double-double after scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. He also finished with a team-high 6 assists.
