Wadena-Deer Creek went 7-0, Sebeka and Verndale tied for second place with 5-2 records. Fourth place went to New York Mills and Bertha-Hewitt went 3-4, Menahga went 1-6 and Pillager went 0-7.

Henning received the third seed in the subsection playoffs and will open the tournament against third seeded New York Mills on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The winner will take on either second seeded Underwood or the winner of seventh seeded Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal vs. 10th seeded Lake Park-Audubon on Friday, Oct. 27 at the high seed.

Against Parkers Prairie the Hornets played well, they just could not finish games one and four.

“We were up in game one the whole set, and we let them get a few runs and before we knew it they tied the game at 23-23,” said head coach Kristy Finck. “I give the Panthers a lot of credit, as they were able to find holes and attack aggressively at us.”
